New Obsession: Too Faced "Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Priming Powder and Finishing Veil"!7/8/2017 Whew! Try saying that 10 times fast! But seriously this product is amaaaazziiinng! It's especially good for those mornings when you wake up but you don't feel like going full face. Just wear a little bit of under eye or BB cream and set your nose and check area with some of this bad boy and BOOM you're done just like that. Pretty, flawless skin in minutes. Now, i should add that this is not a SPOT CORRECTOR in anyway, It is translucent so it will not blur scars and/or marks only you're pores. This is why i suggest still doing spot coverage or wearing CC/BB cream before you put it on. This product is most comparable to the It Cosmetics "Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Silk Anti-Aging Finishing Powder- Pressed" While these are both amazing products, The It Cosmetics pore eraser is better suited for people with fine lines, wrinkles AND dry skin. Because it is anti-aging it was created made with dry and cracked skin in mind so it's super hydrating! Which is absolutely awesome but doesn't work for my predominantly oily combination skin. Also if you have darker skin the It cosmetics may not be for you. When i swatched them both in Ulta (blog about that experience coming soon...) the It Cosmetics left a white sheen on my arm. (But that may just have been an application problem.) If you are oily in your t-zone please use the Too Faced Primed and Poreless, it is a godsend! It feels so natural while also ridding you of gaping pores! Sometimes i forget that I have it on. It is also slight mattifying without making your face look as dry as the Sahara. The packaging is suppeer cute on this powder, as everything Too Faced always is. It is a pretty baby pink compact with a gold border around the front face of the compact exterior. The words on the front are in Black and Gold cursive. On the back of the packaging the suggested instructions are written in both English and Italian. Inside, of the actual compact contains 10 grams/.35 oz of product (enough to last a few months),a high definition mirror and a sort of vintage-y (that's a word now) cosmetic face pad with a finger strap and all. Its a very cute little addition, however its not very functional so i use it as a protector. The pad picks up way to much product at one time! So be careful! If you just pick up the pad and slap it on your face you will end up with this: Yes, this can be buffed out but it will leave a whitened bright sheen. If you have fair skin this will add a beautiful glow to your skin. If you have dark skin this look is not very flattering and will make you appear ashy. I personally love to use this powder with the real techniques "Expert Face Brush." ($9) This brush is absolutely magic. If you go into your powder directly with this brush it picks up just enough and buffs it out so beautifully all over the face. Your pores disappear in an instant! (I will do a drug store brush review soon.) The powder itself appears an ashy white/beige color when you initially pick it up but i promise it goes on completely translucent with the correct brush. Bottom line I absolutely recommend this product for ANYONE with oily, combination or normal skin. This product works on any skin tone but you should probably stay away from it if you are super fair as it may cause your skin to look washed out or dryer than it actually is.
Tips and Tricks:
Please leave a comment down below! :) xx This is going to be a bit different this time. I'm not taking natural beiges browns and blonds I'm talking total P!nk and Nicole Riche hair dying but for girls that may feel it is impossible to aquire that style with their hair texture. I for one am an African American girl who has dyed her hair blue and purple before and it worked out great! Fair warning though: the first time I dyed my hair red I loked like Ronald Macdonald! But don't worry most hairstylist are great about bringing you towards the color that you want and my hair was perfect in no time! So today I aim to share with all of you beautiful people the tricks to having HEALTHY, BEAUTIFUl and VIBRANT colored hair.. First things first, always understand whats important here: YOU. Listen to yourself, your hair and any reactions you may have to a certain dye or clensing system. Its nice to look cute but a cute hairstyle will be ruined if you are constantly scratching at your scalp. SO to start with: the dye! Manic panic has a vegan hair dye system that comes in temporary and semi-permanent and are all vegetable based! Different colors show up better on different hair textures. I found that the most vibrant and true color for dark hair are: Purple Haze and Rockabilly Blue. These dyes are not usually carried in most hair shops but can be found in Sally's Beauty Supply Store and Online and www.ManicPanic.com Next up always have a great conditioner! None of that fake popurii water based Bath and Bodyworks conditioner either. Crème of Nature has a Chamomile and Comfrey Healing Shampoo that is formulated for dehydrated hair! As we all now dry hair is a common side effect of bleached or dyed hair, so using a healing conditioner before there is a condition to heal is like winning a fight before it starts! Paul Mitchell is a brand I SWEAR by, ive been using his shampoos in my hair from the time I could wash my hair by myself! Other than the delicious minty scent of his tea tree special shampoo it contains: white ginger, ALoe, Rosmary and lavender. After you wash but before you blow dry you're going to need a good hair moisturizer to keep hair from drying out due to the loss pf nutrients caused by the dye and the upcoming heat. Oil based motrurizers are always best for dry hair in need of actual help. ORS has a Oilive Oil based Moisturizing Hair Lotion that keeps hair smooth and shiny. A good blow-dry goes without saying but straightening your hair can be so tedious and damaging. Try Design essentials thermal strengthening serum. Leaves hair feeling silky smooth without the sticky residue of hair spray. And finally, good hair and color means nothing if you fail to maintain it. Semi-permanent dyes will fade into different colors. These faded colors are actually the base colors that the original dye was built off of and is often a beautiful color on its own. The most beautiful dye jobs are results of a fade so just allow your hair to run its course with one dye at a time to avoid damaged hair. To add moisture to hair after straightening it try a hair balm instead of a liquid cream. Carols Daughter makes an amazing water-free Hair Balm made specially for textured hair. The Balm is made from Soy and Corn oil and is highly nourishing without leaving hair too oily. Pro Tip 1: Brush hair daily to avoid having to straighten every morning.
Pro Tip 2: Avoid washing hair for at least three weeks for longer lasting color and healthier hair. Tell me what you thought! xx |
